Stock engines can benefit greatly also. Stock engines are designed to suit a variety of riders, just like suspension. Porting and a head modifications will give you more power and torque than any bolt on, by far.

When we port a cylinder, it is software designed and tested. We have worked on a lot of stock, bored and stroked engines that were, as they said, ported. If you are paying 200.00 for porting on a big bore or stroker, I would be wondering what you are getting. It can take up to 10 to 20 hours or more to do the cylinder and cases on a well designed engine; some more than others.
